Some travelers arrived a day early…

Some of our travelers arrived a day early to acclimate to the time zone a bit. They got their first taste of Polish cuisine at a lovely little restaurant in Warsaw.

  2. My father survived the 1906 pogrom in Bialystok but his mother was badly beaten by Cossacks and left her with one arm paralyzed. Rahel’s parents and her brother were all born in Warszawa. They lived on ulica Panska and ulica Twarda. I visited their homes in 1969. Stay well. Please be VERY careful. News out of Poland relates street marches by thousands of Poles protesting compensation payments to Jews for lost homes & property during the war. Poland refuses to pay claiming that she too was a victim of the Holocaust and Poland never got reparations so why should they pay the Jews. Protests in Poland often get ugly. Stay with the group. Don’t walk alone on the streets. Much love to all of you. Esor
